Saving Lives Through Lit

Born & raised in San Antonio, Texas Antoinette Lakey desired to enter the world of nursing. Through her struggles with childhood abuse she needed to find a way to escape the demons that plagued her life. At the early age of 11 her outlet was simply journaling and that is what saved her life. Growing up she believed that abuse was normal and there was no safety net. She was “discovered” by her high school English teacher and was told “Write baby girl, it will make you whole.” Writing is what she did. Nursing & Social services were her passion and she learned to take her demons of sexual, physical & verbal abuse and use them in a positive manner instead of a crutch. She utilized her love for writing and taking care of others and encompassed it all in the social services field.

Ms. Lakey was first published last summer in the Delphine Publications Anthology, “Between the Sheets”, as well as an up and coming columnist with AAMBC. She is presently inking her way into Naughty Ink Press’ Anthology,”Untapped:Collection of Erotic Firsts” to be released in the Fall. Ms. Lakey is known in the world of Erotica as “JusMe”, she is presently is penning her first novel which deals with domestic abuse, publisher undecided.

Ms. Lakey, is the mother of two, grandmother of one. She presently works in th, publisher Social Services field and finds that the best ways to reach those that many believe are unreachable.
